DENVER -On April 28, 2012, Immunity Clothing will officially be launching its latest line of merchandise. Following this release, there will be an official launch show consisting of five local bands. Additionally, this show will act as a benefit for Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains.
The release of the new line will also mark the separation of two categories within the company into two different brands: Immunity Clothing and Immunity Clothing Straight-edge. Immunity clothing is known for selling clothing inspired by and relating to positivity and the ‘straight-edge’ lifestyle. This separation allows the creation of new clothing to be more focused. In addition it will also allow greater amounts of specific merchandise to be released between both brands.
In regards to the launch party and benefit show, half of the profits from at-the-door ticket sales and a quarter of the profits from Immunity Clothing merchandise sold that night will be donated to PPRM. Also, a raffle has been organized where 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the aforementioned charity. The raffle has been kindly sponsored by the following brands: Jamie Moore Photography, Olloclip, No Sleep Records, Omerica Organic Plugs, Diamond Head Clothing and Yogurtland. The local bands that have been announced to perform at this benefit are as follows: Of Feather and Bone, Sleeping Weather, Citizen, Before We’re Done and Speak in Vowels. The show will have a suggested donation of $10 per person at the door.
The benefit show will coincide with Planned Parenthood’s “Get Yourself Tested” week. Get Yourself Tested (GYT) is a unique national campaign geared at people aged 25 and younger—who are disproportionately impacted by STDs. The first step to getting tested is to get people talking, normalizing conversations about STDs and removing the stigma that surrounds getting tested. GYT encourages Americans under age 25 to talk with their health care providers and partners about getting tested for STDs. Last year, over 1,000 individuals sought information about STD testing from Planed Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, which performed nearly 2,600 Chlamydia, gonorrhea, and HIV tests at their 28 health centers on GYT testing days in 2011.
In related news, there will be an official documentary filmed for Immunity Clothing. The documentary will focus on the history, present, and future of Immunity Clothing and will feature footage acquired from the benefit show.

I’m not sure if there will ever be printed, but I liked the idea and thought that I was able to execute it fairly well. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but I like the idea of loving where you are from and not being afraid to represent something you love.
